The fifth collaboration between artist Michele Burgess and poet Nancy Willard, Skin of Grace is dedicated to Willard in recognition of the inspiration she has given the Press over the last thirty years. It is the eighth volume in Burgess’s “Stratigraphic Archives” series and a reworking of a one-of-a-kind book she created in 1992. The collages were individually made with mixed media on Gampi paper and each one has subtle differences. The poem was hand set in Perpetua and printed letterpress by Nelle Martin on Cave handmade paper. The binding was designed by Lisa Van Pelt.
